Every year UConn MRS hosts weekly study sessions to help our new students prepare for their qualifier. We are happy to see the success of their efforts and couldn’t be prouder. Good luck on research!!!
UConn MRS hosts it’s annual Fall Meeting get-together at King’s Lanes in Boston, MA. Thank you to all in attendance. Great job to all those who had presentations at this year’s conference!
UConn MRS takes home 2nd place at the MRS Fall Meeting T-shirt Competition. Each year MRS University Chapters are welcome to submit a newly designed materials research related t-shirt. T-shirt’s are show cased and voted on by all university chapters in attendance. This year our submission was envisioned my our very own president, Jessica Maita. Building on work conducted at our Center for Advanced Microscopy and Materials Analysis (CAMMA) the following design was submitted.
MRS hosts it’s first annual MRS Friendsgiving Potluck. Graduate students from Materials Science and Engineering were invited to make and share dishes from their culture. With more than 30 students in attendance you’ll have to trust us….the food was amazing!!!
